Anderlecht owner Marc Coucke has absolute confidence in Ghanaian striker Dauda Mohammed.

The youngster has been promoted to the side's first team as a third-choice striker this season.

The club decided to part ways with Polish striker Lukasz Teodorczyk to accommodate the former Asante Kotoko striker.

“Teo was not great last season, but he scored important goals, without him, we would be playing European against Fola Esh," he told Anderlecht online.

"Two years ago, he also made us champions, but now we want to start from scratch with a clean sheet. Dimata have the confidence and Dauda is our third striker, out of respect I can tell Teo that it is better to leave, you can not ask him to stay.”

The Ghanaian scored 25 goals for the club's developmental squad last season.

He scored four goals in pre-season.
