Talisman Andre Ayew says he and his brother Jordan are focused for the Africa Cup of Nations after glittering in their last match for Olympique Marseille.

Andre scored a spectacular free-kick and his younger brother netted twice in Marseille's 5-0 drubbing of third-tier side Red Star 93 on Saturday night in the French Cup round of 32 tie.

The 22-year-old says they have paid their dues to part ways with club for the continental flagship event.

"We wanted to do the job before leaving and it's done. We will follow our team-mates closely when we are away," Andre told OM.net

''I hope they will  win most of their games and that for the Nations Cup we go as far as possible and we will return to form."

Marseille coach Didier Deschamps believes the duo did a good job on the night.

"It seemed natural to use them to take no risk with those who will take over Tuesday.

"That is, there was brilliant individual work from them but they also played collectively, we stayed in a certain course of action and that's important."

The pair will join their international team-mates in Rustenburg, South Africa on Monday to trim the rough edges for the tournament.
