Andre Ayew set for Ghana return next month

Published on: 29 August 2012

Midfielder Andre Ayew will return to the Ghana squad since February for next month's final 2013 Nations Cup qualifier against Malawi and then Liberia in a friendly.

The Olympique Marseille talisman will be playing his first match for the Black Stars since featuring at the 2012 Nations Cup finals.

Ayew, 22, missed June's 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifiers double-header against Lesotho and Zambia due to a shoulder injury.

He went under the knife in April to correct the problem and was unfit to play.

Ayew was not released by his French Ligue 1 side for this month's international friendly against China.

Also, Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu who missed the friendly, has also returned.

FC Dnipro Samuel Inkoom has also made a return to the team.
