Andre Belotti could join Lorenzo Insigne in Toronto

Toronto FC are gearing up ahead of the start of the 2022 Major League Soccer regular season and want to add another Italian striker to their roster.

Toronto have an open wallet and have been making moves during the winter transfer window. Last week they signed Lorenzo Insigne from Napoli and now they have started talks to bring another Italian striker for the 2022 Major League Soccer regular season.

Toronto targeting Belotti

According to several reports, Toronto are keen on signing Andre Belotti from Serie A side Torino. The 28-year-old striker will become a free agent this summer and the Major League Soccer side wants to offer him a deal he won’t be able to reject.

Several sources close to Belotti have indicated that his intention is to remain in Europe in the hope that Italy qualify for the 2022 World Cup. His priority is to remain in Europe, but he will consider the offer from Toronto.

Andrea Belotti has other offers on the table from the Serie A. Inter Milan wants to sign the 28-year-old striker ahead of the 2022/23 Serie A campaign.
