Ghana coach Otto Addo remains positive despite acknowledging the challenges ahead of Thursday's 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.
Addo is confident the Black Stars can secure a win at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi, even though Angola poses a significant threat.
The Palancas Negras impressed earlier this year by reaching the quarter-finals of AFCON 2023, while Ghana suffered a disappointing group stage exit.
"They have a lot of good players, so it won’t be easy for us, but we have good players as well, and I am convinced that we can beat them, even though it won’t be easy," Addo said during a press conference.
Preparations have been somewhat disrupted, with Leicester City forward Jordan Ayew only arriving in camp on Wednesday afternoon, just hours before the match.
Additionally, injuries have sidelined Elisha Owusu, left-back Gideon Mensah, and centre-back Alexander Djiku.
"We have had some injuries, but the squad is ready. We have a lot of players who can match up. I wish the injured players a speedy recovery," Addo added.
Following the Angola match, Ghana will travel to Morocco to face Niger on Monday.
