Striker Jordan Ayew is a doubt for Olympique Marseille ahead of Sunday's French Ligue 1 clash against Nice.

The 20-year-old picked up a knock on his ankle during Thursday's 2-2 draw with Borussia Moechengladbach in the UEFA Europa League.

Ayew, who scored one of Marseille's goals, was assessed by the club's doctors on Friday where he was declared unfit.

He is still being monitored over the next 48 hours to see if he can pass a late fitness test.

"His ankle has moved and now he could not play but it's nothing serious either. We'll see if the next 48 hours can go well," Marseille coach Elie Baup disclosed.
