Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan enjoyed more playing minutes at Schalke 04 as he climbed off the Royal Blues' bench to play in their 0-0 drawn game with Borussia Dortmund in the German Bundesliga on Tuesday night.
The 27-year-old former Black Stars regular was introduced by Schalke manager Jens Keller as a 77th minute replaced for teenager Max Meyer at the Signal-Iduna-Park where Schalke managed to snatch a vital away point.
Annan was playing just his second Bundesliga game of the season after marking his debut over the week when he came on as an 80th minute substitute in the 3-1 victory over Eintracht Braunschweig.
The former Hearts of Oak midfielder's consistent appearances for Schalke could positively affect his chances of making Ghana's squad for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
