Apoh deligted to make injury return for Hearts

Midfielder Theophilus Apoh is delighted to have made a return to the Hearts of Oak setup after a long injury layoff.

The 22-year-old was a second half substitute in Sunday’s league win over Medeama but admits he still has some work to do in picking up on the pace of the game haven been out so long.

“I thank God that finally, I have been able to play for the team again in the league,” he told GHANAsoccernet.com after coming through the Medeama game unscathed.

“I could see clearly that I am a bit rusty so my focus will be on how to get more match fitness to help the club achieve greatness this season.”

Apoh’s return come at a time the Hearts team is strip to the bone through injuries to key players such as Esme Mends and Uriah Asante and would be welcomed as a massive boost.
