Ghana captain Stephen Appiah is among three of Africa's top players chosen by apparel sponsors Puma to address the press at an event in Paris on Friday.

The Bologna midfielder will be alongside Inter Milan's Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba as they talk to the world press about their prepaprations towards the tournament.

Appiah is certain to be bombarded with questions about Michael Essien's absence at the tournament but following his recent impressive appearances in major news interviews he is expected to be commanding.

All the team members from Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Ghana are expected to be present in the outdoor event.

Ghana and Cameroon are camping in Paris while Drogba who is in neighbouring Switzerland is expected to be flown in by a special jet.

The Black Stars camp in Paris is sponsored by Puma.

Meanwhile the entire Black Stars squad has  been given the afternoon off after Friday morning's light training session.

This will also allow them to attend the event later in the evening as they recover from the strains of Thursday evening's clash between the two Black Stars sides.
