Arsenal and memorable milestones in history
List of Arsenal coaches

Arsenal Football Club is a professional soccer team whose headquarters is located in Holloway, London. Currently, the Arsenal team is playing in the English Premier League, England's most prestigious league.

In the history of the Arsenal Football Club, they have won countless domestic and European championships, Arsenal is the club with the second highest number of wins in English football history. It is also the only English team so far to win a national championship with an unbeaten record in 38 rounds, nicknamed The Invincibles of the Premier League Gold Cup.

The Premier League 2020/21 has ended and the championship position belongs to the Manchester City team. And Arsenal still hold the 8th place in the rankings. And Arsenal will return to the Premier League 2021/22 to open the season with a match against Brentford in August. What were the results? Watch live football on Tructiepus.com to see what new scenarios will be set up.

The period 1919–1953: The first titles

At this stage under the guidance of coach Chapman, Arsenal won two Premier League titles in the seasons 1930 - 1931 and 1932 - 1933. In 1932, the Gillespie Road metro station was renamed into Arsenal. This is a rather impressive case of a station named after a soccer club.

Later Chapman was Joe Shaw and George Allison. Under the guidance of these two coaches, the "Gunners" of London won three other championships, which were the championships in the 1933-1934, 1934 - 1935 seasons and the 1937-1938 seasons.

After the second world war, coach Tom Whittaker became the "captain" of the Arsenal club. This was a quite successful time for Arsenal when this team won the Premier League in 1947-1948 and 1952 - 1953.

Thus, in the first 30 years since the club's inception, they have achieved memorable and proud achievements. So what will the next stage be like?

1953–1986: Decreasing period

After the halo of three decades ago, after 1953, Arsenal began to play in decline and ceased to attract players like it did in the 1930s. The club was just a mid-tier team in the 1950s and 1960.

In 1966, Arsenal appointed Bertie Mee as head coach. After losing two British League Cup finals, this man, once a physiotherapist, helped Arsenal win their first European trophy, the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in the 1969–70 season. The following season, Arsenal won the first double title in history: winning the national championship and the FA Cup. This marks a glorious milestone for Arsenal in the beginning of the decade; the following season, Arsenal finished second in the FA Cup and finished second in the national championship in 1973.

After the 1975–76 season, Bertie Mee resigned. Terry Neill was appointed by the Arsenal management team on 9 July 1976 at the age of 34, becoming the youngest manager in Arsenal history to date. With contracts signed with players Malcolm Macdonald and Pat Jennings, and young talents such as Liam Brady and Frank Stapleton, the team has risen to success since 1971. They continued to reach the finals of the FA Cup in 1978, 1979 and 1980 in which they won an FA championship after a dramatic final 3–2 victory over Manchester United in 1979. The following season they won the European Cup Winners' Cup runner-up, after losing the shootout.

1986 - 1995: Coach Graham period

Arsenal won the 9th Premier League title after a "suffocating" victory over rival Liverpool in the last minutes. In the 1990-1991 season, the "Gunners" of London had the 10th most attractive football championship on the planet.

George Graham's return as manager in 1986 brought a third period of renaissance for the club. Arsenal won the English League Cup in 1987, the first season in which Graham led the team. In the 1988–89 season, Arsenal won the league title after a breathtaking win over Liverpool with a last-minute goal. With only one defeat, they successfully defended their national championship the following season.

Arsenal also won the FA Cup and the English League Cup double in the 1992–93 season. They won their second trophy in Europe in 1994, with the UEFA Cup Winners Cup title, beating Parma F.C in the final with Alan Martin Smith's only goal. Graham's reputation has been overshadowed by a number of player transfer scandals, and Craig was sacked in 1995, despite the success of the club. Graham's successor, Bruce Rioch, with only one season coaching, left the club after a disagreement with the board.

1996 - 2017: Arsenal's prime time under manager Wenger

Arsene Wenger joined the Arsenal leadership on September 30, 1996 and has truly created the most powerful Arsenal in the history of the club and the English Premier League. He made bold changes in tactics, diet, training, and transfer policy. He brought a number of foreign players into the game and trained young English players. Arsenal won the Premier League double and the FA Cup in the 1997-1998 season.

In the 2001-2002 season, London's "Gunners" won the Premier League championship. Thus, Arsenal has 12 times to step to the top of the glory of the most attractive tournament on the planet.

In the 2003-2004 season, the London team officially stepped up to the top of the Premier League after a 2-2 draw against Tottenham at White Hart Lane. With 26 wins and 12 draws after 38 rounds, Arsenal officially set a record as the first team to be unbeaten in the entire season in the Premier League and won the championship.

2018 to present: post-Wenger era

After making modifications to the team's operating model to accommodate Wenger's departure, Spanish strategist Unai Emery was selected as the club's new head coach on 23 May, 2018. In his first season, Emery could not help Arsenal return to the Champions League, finishing 5th place and losing 1–4 in the UEFA Europa League Final 2019 against Chelsea.

On November 29, 2019, Emery was sacked after Arsenal lost 1–2 at home to Frankfurt in the final round of the Europa League group stage match. Former player and assistant coach Freddie Ljungberg was appointed as the interim head coach. On December 20, 2019, Arsenal appointed former captain Mikel Arteta midfielder to head coach on a three-and-a-half-year contract.

So we have just gone through the ups and downs together with the team that has won many times the most attractive soccer tournament on the planet. What are your memorable moments?
