Arsenal will look to loan out midfield starlet Emmanuel Frimpong in January – with both Norwich and Swansea interested.

The Premier League new boys are aware of Frimpong’s availability and are ready to slug it out to hopefully of strike a deal with Arsene Wenger.

The promising 19-year-old has made a handful of top-flight appearances this season, although he has been restricted to Carling Cup starts since September.

Frimpong’s league debut against Liverpool in August ended in disaster when the Ghanaian-born rookie was sent off for a second bookable offences.

And with Gunners manager Wenger having improved his midfield options with the signings of Mikel Arteta and loanee Yossi Benayoun, he feels a move could benefit Frimpong’s development.

Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey have both enjoyed successful loan spells away from the Emirates before returning to establish themselves as first-team regulars.

And Wenger hopes Frimpong can do likewise – although a loan deal with a Premier League club would only be struck if Arsenal feel he would get regular first-team starts.

Cardiff attempted to take him on loan in the summer but Frimpong was needed for first-team duty in north London, as Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri headed for the exit door.

Despite winning England youth caps, Frimpong has pledged his international future to Ghana.
