Arsenal, Manchester United set to miss out on Ghana ace Thomas Partey

English Premier League giants Arsenal and Manchester United are likely to miss out on a move for Atletico Madrid star man Thomas Partey in the summer transfer window.

The midfielder has been on the radar of both clubs following his impressive performances for the Rojiblancos this season in both domestic and European competitions.

Partey flourished after being watched by scouts of both clubs during the UEFA champions League last 16 tie against Liverpool at Anfield.

With several clubs chasing the signature of the Ghana international, the La Liga outfit are set to hand the Partey a new deal which will see his release clause increased to £92 million.

This is expected to fend off all suitors including Arsenal and Manchester United as they go in for a cheaper alternative.

Thomas Partey has been the star of Diego Simeone’s side this season, having made 35 appearances out of 38 games.
