Ghana midfield sensation Thomas Partey has smashed the Ghanaian records after clinching a staggering £250,000-a-week wages following his move from Atletico Madrid to Arsenal.

The Ghana deputy captain becomes the country's highest earning footballer in history after breaking the records previously held by Asamoah Gyan and Michael Essien.

This comes after Arsenal confirmed that they had sealed the caputure of the talented player from his Spanish club.

Along with his £45 million release clause which Arsenal paid just before the deadline, Partey will earn a staggering £250,000 each week aside his bonuses and other allowances.

Partey has been Arsenal’s top transfer target all summer and the North London club have now sealed the march on the versatile player who can play in defence, midfield and attack.

Previously, former Ghana skipper Gyan was reported to have earned $ 200,000 dollars a week in his blockbuster move in China with Shanghai SIPG whiles Michael Essien was on an impressive £ 150,000 a week at the peak of his powers at Chelsea.

That has now been dwarfed by Thomas Partey after joining Arsenal to fulfilling a childhood dream of playing in England.
