Arsenal - Szczesny to return to the Gunners

The Express has reported that Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is to return to the North London side after another year on loan to Roma. The 25 year old Pole went on loan to Roma this year, where he has been a first-team regular for Luciano Spalletti's side. However, the Polish international faces stiff competition for current Arsenal first-chocie cheeper Petr Cech. Head of the Polish FA, Zibi Boniek stated this about the situation:

“I never meddle with the careers of the national team players, so I do not want to talk much about Szczesny's future,"

"Every time I spoke with him he told me that he is happy in the Italian capital, his only thought is to do well with Roma and move forward with them in the Champions League.

"I know for a fact that if he is not bought by Roma his dream is to return to Arsenal as their number one goalkeeper.

"But Cech is already doing well, so it is difficult to guess.

"Many Premier League clubs are also interested, but there might be another year on loan at Roma for him, perhaps after signing an extension with Arsenal."
