Dutch born Ghanaian forward Myron Boadu is likely to stay at AZ Alkmaar, says coach Arne Slot.
The in-demand forward was in top form for AZ before the cancellation of the Eredivisie, scoring 20 times in all competitions with thirteen assists to his credit.
Despite interest from Arsenal and Everton, Arne Slot is confident the striker will stay in Holland for the upcoming campaign.
“I think it is realistic to think we can keep them,” says Arne Slot.
“But every club takes into account that sometimes a player can leave and we are no exception.
“Contrary to what I sometimes read, I often hear from these guys that they are very happy with us and think that we have a strong team that can perform well next season.
“The preliminary rounds of the Champions League, for example are also a new challenge for them.”
AZ were on same points with Ajax at the top of the league before it was cancelled, handing them a place in next season's Champions League preliminary stages.
