Published on: 26 November 2020

Arsenal’s’ questionable form in recent weeks has inevitably led to increased transfer speculation.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, the Gunners may look to spend some money in an attempt to rectify their problems.

A new creative midfielder appears to be the priority, while several fringe players are being linked with exits.

Here are all the latest Arsenal transfer rumours.

Arteta dismisses Berge speculation

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has rejected claims that Sheffield United midfielder Sander Berge is a target.

The 22-year-old, who has impressed for the Blades this season, has been linked with a switch to the Emirates .

But Arteta has insisted that there is no interest from Arsenal in the Norway international.

“Albert (Stuivenberg) knows him very well. It is a player that he likes,” Arteta said in his press conference ahead of Thursday night’s Europa League game against Molde.

“But we have not shown any interest for the player. He is a Sheffield United player. We have not done anything at all.

RB Salzburg chief expects Arsenal target to join ‘big club’

RB Salzburg sporting director Christoph Freund has admitted he expects Arsenal target Dominik Szoboszlai to sign for a “big club”.

The Hungarian midfielder has been linked with a host of Europe’s top teams, including Arsenal, Real Madrid and RB Leipzig, after excelling in the Austrian top flight.

And Freund has reluctantly accepted that the 20-year-old, who has five goals and nine assists to his name so far this season, will soon earn a high-profile transfer.

“Of course you would like to have the player in the club as long as possible,” he told Sky Sport Austria . “On the other hand, it is also healthy if he takes the next step at the right time.

“Let’s see what happens in winter, but there is a high probability that he will move to a big club. That is definitely a next step in development so that he can tap this potential and this performance with every game.”

Arsenal ‘offered’ Eriksen in cut-price deal

Arsenal have been offered Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen at a reduced price, according to ESPN .

The former Tottenham player, who made the move to Italy in January, has fallen out of favour under Antonio Conte.

The 28-year-old has started just 11 Serie A games in ten months, leading to speculation that he could return to the Premier League when the January transfer window opens.

Arsenal, given their need for a creative midfielder, have been linked with Eriksen, and he is reportedly willing to join the club despite his affinity with Spurs.

ESPN claim that the Denmark international could be available for as little as £12m.
