Arsene Wenger has told the press that he has been disappointed with the quiet transfer window the gunners have had: "The whole period was much quieter than I anticipated," said the Arsenal boss.

Resigning himself to another quiet transfer day Wenger stated: "The fact I'm here now shows we'll still be quiet."

Arsenal have only signed just one first-team player, Mohamed Elneny from Basel for £7.4m. The club also signed two Nigerian youngsters Kelechi Nwakali and Samuel Chukwueze.
