Sunderland's record signing Asamoah Gyan admits he is not fully fit and says he's looking forward to training regularly again.
The frontman's training regime has suffered recently as he tied up a £13m move to Wearside before heading off on international duty.
After meeting his new team-mates last Thursday, Gyan was named on the bench at Wigan on Saturday but came on to score in a 1-1 draw.
The former Rennes man was back in training today and is hoping to improve his fitness ahead of Saturday's game with Arsenal.
He said: "I am looking forward to training for sure. I had only trained two times in 15 days and I was so tired during the game.
"Although I scored the goal, I was feeling some difficulty physically during the game.
"Now I can train throughout the week with the team and see where my condition lies."
