Former Asante Kotoko forward Eric Bekoe believes general captain of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan is the best striker the country has had in the last two decades.

Gyan is Ghana's all time leading scorer with 51 international goals, and the 34-year old is also Africa top goal scorer at the FIFA World Cup.

The NorthEast United forward has represented Ghana since he was 16 and has not looked backed despite competition from strikers like Prince Tagoe, Mathew Amoah and Eric Bekoe.

Bekoe reveals Gyan has been above all other Ghanaian forwards in the last two decades.

"Asamoah Gyan is the best Ghanaian striker in the last two decades," he said on Sikka Sports.

Asamoah Gyan has made over a century of appearances for the senior national team with 109 caps, making him the most capped Black Stars player.

Meanwhile, Eric Bekoe made 12 appearances for the Black Stars during his time with Asante Kotoko, where he won the Ghana Premier League goal king.
