Ghanasoccernet.com can exclusively reveal that Asamoah Gyan has made a quicker-than-expected return from a toe injury.

This means he is available for Sunderland in Saturday’s English Premier League clash with Fulham.

But he will be on the bench for the game.

Ghanaian striker has been struggling with the toe injury he suffered at training this week.

He was thought to be a doubt for the game at Craven Cottage but he has travelled with the squad for the game.

Gyan says he is ready to face the Cottagers in the game that could boost their chances of a top-six finish this season.

"I have travelled with the squad and I am ready to play against Fulham," Gyan told Ghanasoccernet.com

The Ghana striker has been in good form since joining the club from French club Rennes.
