Ghana striker Asamoah Gyan says winning the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations is top on his wish list for next season.

Gyan, named Sports Writers Association of Ghana Personality of the Year on Sunday, has not played in Ghana's last two qualifiers due to suspension.

But believes the team will qualify and have the credentials of winning in the tournament to be co-hosted by Gabon and Equatorial Guinea next January.

"I know we will qualify for the tournament and winning it is very important for the team. We must win it at all cost," Gyan said.

The 25-year-old Sunderland striker is the top scorer in the current Black Stars set up with 26 goals.

Ghana have not won the African Nations Cup since 1982 and came close this year in Angola but lost 1-0 to a solid Egypt side in the final.
