Asante Kotoko advances in FA Cup with victory over Future Stars

Asante Kotoko continued their impressive run in the Ghanaian  FA Cup with a commanding 2-0 win over Future Stars FC at the Baba Yara Stadium on afternoon. 

The Porcupines displayed their class and dominance throughout the match, led by an outstanding performance from forward Albert Amoah.

The first half ended goalless, with both teams struggling to convert opportunities. However, Kotoko shifted gears in the second half, taking control of the game.

The breakthrough came in the 65th minute when Amoah latched onto a brilliant through ball from midfielder Dauda Saaka.

With calm precision, he slotted the ball past the Future goalkeeper, sending the home fans into raptures.

Kotoko maintained their momentum and sealed the victory in the 86th minute with a stunning strike from Amoah.

Positioned outside the box, he unleashed a powerful shot that flew into the top left corner, leaving the goalkeeper helpless.

Despite valiant efforts from Future, Kotoko's defense remained resolute, ensuring a clean sheet and securing their place in the round of 32.

The Porcupines now eagerly await their next game against sworn rivals Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.
