CAF Confederations Cup campaigners, Asante Kotoko have arrived in Ghana after the first leg of their game against Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya.

The Ghanaian giants touch down at the Kotoko International Airport on Monday, and will head to Kumasi to begin preparations for the second leg on Saturday.

The gallant warriors held Kariobangi Sharks to a goalless draw in Kenya last Saturday and head into the second leg with the advantage.

Asante Kotoko are representing Ghana as holders of the MTN FA Cup, which they won two seasons ago after beating rivals Hearts of Oak.

The Porcupine Warriors have targeted the group stages of the competition as their primary objective, therefore will have to beat Sharks to progress to the next stage.

Meanwhile, their coach C.K Akunor revealed he is satisfied with the performance from the first leg and believes the second leg is theirs to lose.

“We are satisfied with the result because we didn’t lose,” said Akonnor. "We could have won because we had chances to score. We came here to get a good result, meaning we can be satisfied with a draw or win.”

“I don’t want to be too selfish. This was an away match. We have to go back home, do a bit of homework and find a method to win the second leg.”

Asante Kotoko will host Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi at 3:00 PM.
