Asante Kotoko have begun contract extension talks with seven players whose deal have run out or about to expire.

The heptad includes Ben Adama, Kwabena Adusei, Issah Yakubu, Goalkeeper Felix Annan, Eric Donkor and Amos Frimpong.

The club’s acting chief executive Opoku Nti announced last Tuesday that letters have been written to these players over new terms.

GHANASoccernet.com understands former management member Kofi Capito is in-charge.

Kotoko are on the alert after controversial midfielder Yahaya Mohammed, who has few months on his contract, sneaked out of the country to sign a pre-contract with Libyan side Al Ittihad Tripoli.

The player will join the north African side when his contract expires at the end of the season as a free agent.
