Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah will leave for the UK on Friday to hold talks with English side Southampton before continuing to Italy to discuss final details with kits sponsors, Errea.

Asante Kotoko are said to be closing in on a ground breaking deal with English top-flight side Southampton.

As part of the agreement, the Porcupine Warriors will have exchange programmes with the St Mary Stadium outfit where officials of the two clubs will visit each other’s camp to undergo some tuition.

Players of Kotoko will also have access to the training facilities of Southampton.

Media reports indicate that club’s chief Nana Yaw Amponsah will leave the shores of Ghana to the UK on Friday to iron out the final details of the contract.

Last month, Asante Kotoko signed a three-year agreement to be the sports kits manufacturers Errea ahead of the coming campaign.

He will continue his visit to Italy on a similar mission to hold talks with Errea before returning to Ghana just in time for the start of the 2020/21 Premier League season.

Kotoko will open their campaign with a home game against Eleven Wonders on Saturday, November 14, 2020.
