GHANAsoccernet.com can report that Asante Kotoko has paid Ghc 220,000 owed as salaries and winning bonuses to their players and technical team.

Players of Asante Kotoko were owed in salary arrears of two months and were owed five matches winning bonuses.

The matches were against  Ebusua Dwarfs, Hearts of Oak, Karela, Dreams and Bechem United in the Ghana Premier League.

The arrears nearly sparked protest in camp as players were set to go on demonstration but through a kindly intervention of Executive Director of the club Dr Kwame Kyei helped calm the situation.

GHANAsoccernet.com can confirm the monies have been paid to the players.

Asante Kotoko before the suspension of the  Ghana Premier League were fourth on the table with 25points after match day 14.
