Giants Asante Kotoko are set to sign winger Bernard Dong Bortey on a one-year deal, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The club have agreed personal terms with the Aduana stars striker to end speculations about his prolonged move to the two-time African champions.
Some Kotoko fans had resisted attempt by management of the club to sign the player who swerved them to join local rivals Hearts of Oak in 2001.
But the former GHAPOHA attacker has issued a groveling apology to the club claiming he will help them win laurels next season.
Sources say both parties have reached an agreement with the player expected to finalize his move.
Asante Kotoko finished second in the Ghana Premier League.
