Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu wants to see Sulley Muntari and Asamoah Gyan sign up with clubs in the Ghana Premier League.

Konadu, who worked with the duo during his spell as Black Stars assistant and stop-gap coach, is convinced the return of the former internationals can exponentially boost the country's top-flight.

The one-time Ghana Premier League winning coach posted on his Twitter page: ''I fully respect yr opinion but, the industry is fully aware what these 2 great players can bring to our league.''

Muntari has been linked with giants Hearts of Oak and the local media reported the former Portsmouth and Sunderland midfielder has agreed a two-year deal but the club was quick to dispelled that.

At 35, the former UEFA Champions League winner with Inter Milan, still has a lot to offer the Phobians in their quest to end their trophy drought.

Former Ghana captain and all-time leading top scorer Gyan, is said to be interested in playing for Asante Kotoko.

The two players played for Liberty Professionals before leaving abroad to the Italian side Udinese.
