Head coach of Asante Kotoko Maxwell Konadu has aired his voice on the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II latest one-year ban on players transfer.

On Tuesday, Chief of Staff at Manhyia Kofi Badu disclosed that Life Patron and owner of Asante Kotoko, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has banned the club from signing any player for at least a season.

According to Mr Badu, Manhyia is convinced there is enough quality in the current squad to compete on the local scene.

Coach of the club Maxwell Konadu has stated that the club's technical team will plead with the club's owner if the needs arises.

“It's a decision from the high office of the club and it won't be rigid to plead for one or two recruitments," Konadu told Oyerepa FM.

"If the need be to buy players, we will plead with Manhyia to allow us to purchase one or two but if we realize what we have is okay, we will move on."

Asante Kotoko have signed and sacked fifty five (55) players in the last three seasons, costing the club millions of Ghana cedis, with only the FA Cup and the Normalisation Committee cup to show.
