Asante Kotoko's head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, is under intense scrutiny following a string of disappointing results in the Ghana Premier League.
According to reports, the club's Interim Management Committee (IMC) will meet on Monday to discuss Ogum's future after back-to-back defeats - a 3-0 loss to Accra Lions and a 2-0 setback against Nations FC.
The poor form has seen Kotoko drop to fourth in the league standings with 47 points from 28 matches. Sources suggest the IMC may not retain Ogum beyond the season, with a formal decision expected after today’s meeting.
Despite their struggles in the league, Kotoko still have the MTN FA Cup to play for, with a semi-final clash against Berekum Chelsea approaching. The club’s inconsistent form, including 13 wins, eight draws, and seven losses, has raised doubts over Ogum’s ability to lead them to silverware this season.
Ogum, who led Kotoko to a league title in 2022, returned to the club in 2024 after a brief departure. His future now hangs in the balance, with the IMC's decision set to determine the club’s next steps.
