Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo confident team will win against RC Kadiogo without Frank Mbella

Asante Kotoko head coach Seydou Zerbo says the club will thrive with or without Frank Etouga Mbella this season.

The Cameroonian forward is reported to be pushing for an exit from the club this season.

Mbella did not feature in the club’s preseason tour to Sudan and also missed the CAF Champions League preliminary round game against RC Kadiogo.

Frank Mbella is likely to miss the second leg encounter on Sunday.

Speaking at the pre-match conference ahead of the game, Asante Kotoko coach is confident he can get the needed results from the squad.

“Asante Kotoko is a big club and if Mbella isn’t around that doesn’t mean the club won’t be there.” Zerbo told the media on Friday morning.

“I heard he’s is an important player but I didn’t work with him but I believe those who won in Benin can equally step up for the club.” the Burkina Faso tactician added.

Asante Kotoko will host RC Kadiogo in the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
