Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko have completed the acquisition of West Africa Football Academy captain Michael Kyei Dwamena ahead of the new season, according to media reports.
The 23-year-old midfielder is said to have signed on the dotted lines for the Porcupine Warriors, pending official announcement from the club.
He becomes the first signing of the record Ghana premier League holders.
Dwamena is reuniting with former coach Prosper Narteh Ogum at Kotoko, having worked under him at WAFA in previous years.
Kotoko have fallen short in midfield after transferring captain Richard Boadu and Mudasiru Salifu to Libya and Saudi Arabia respectively.
The WAFA star is expected to fill the void in the team ahead of the new season.
The midfielder will complement the Porcupine Warriors squad as they seek to build a formidable side that can compete for laurels next season.
