Asante Kotoko confirm date for CAF CC second leg against Kariobangi Sharks

Ghanaian giants Asante kotoko will play Kenyan side Kariobangi Sharks on Saturday, December 22nd in the second leg of the CAF Confederations Cup.

The Porcupine Warriors will travel to Kenya on Wednesday for the first leg of their tie against Kariobangi.

“We have confirmed Saturday, December 22, 2018, for the return leg of the second preliminary round tie against Kariobangi Sharks of Kenya. Kick-off will be at 3 PM,” Kotoko posted on Twitter.

The Porcupine Warriors have intensified preparations for the competition after engaging in friendlies with some top local sides in Ghana.

On Wednesday, the Reds defeated Inter Allies 3-0 in a friendly at the Accra Sports stadium.

Kotoko will face Ghana’s national U-23 team on Sunday in another preparatory match before departing for Nairobi.

Meanwhile, their opponents Kariobangi eliminated Djibouti side Asta Solar 7 9-1 on aggregate to set up the tie with the Ghanaians.
