Asante Kotoko defender Agyemang Badu confident of becoming first Ghanaian to play for Manchester United

Asante Kotoko SC defender Emmanuel Agyeman Badu claims he will be the first Ghanaian to play for English giants Manchester United.

The versatile player was on the radar of Portuguese side Rio Ave after impressing in the CAF Confederation Cup last season.

The 24-year-old aims at becoming the very first Ghanaian footballer in history to don the red shirt at the Old Trafford.

"I will be the first Ghanaian to play for Manchester United in England. How it will happen will wonder many people but it will come true," he told Kwaku Osei TV.

"I have encountered so much struggles which I don’t want other people to go through."

"I want to play for an elite club and gain so much money to help other people who are struggling."

Badu who joined the Porcupine Warriors three years ago has been an integral member of the team.
