Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyeman Badu on the radar of Portuguese side Rio Ave

Asante Kotoko defender Emmanuel Agyeman Badu has popped up on the radar of Portuguese side Rio Ave.

The 22-year old defender could be joining Rio Ave in the summer after scouts of the Portuguese side were impressed by his performances in the CAF Confederation Cup.

According to information gathered by GHANASoccernet.com, the player has already agreed terms with the Rioavistas.

Badu has been a revelation in the CAF Confederations Cup for the Porcupine Warriors, playing seven out of the eight games the club has been engaged in.

The defender joined Asante Kotoko from lower tier side Phar Rangers and played three games in the truncated 2018 Ghana Premier League.

Badu will be expected to regain his position ahead of the game against Al Hilal on Sunday after missing the clash with Nkana FC last week.
