Asante Kotoko finally pay GH¢ 180,000 severance package to former coach CK Akonnor- report
Asante Kotoko are reported to have settled the GH¢ 180,000 debt to former coach CK Akonnor for his illegal dismissal in July, 2019.
According to a report by Kumasi-based Fox FM, the newly constituted board of directors of the club supervised the payment to the now Ghana coach.
Akonnor was fired nine months into his three year contract and grabbed the club Player Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association.
The ex-Black Stars coach demanded an accumulated two-year salary, league trophy cash, and CAF Confederation Cup Group stage entitlements.
Kotoko were found guilty for breach of contract.
