Asante Kotoko appears to have reacted to his exclusion from the Black Stars squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations double-header qualifier against Sudan.

CK Akonnor named a 23-man squad for the games without adding Felix Annan, who had been a consistent part of the team under former manager Kwesi Appiah. However, Akonnor named Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah in the squad.

It's believed Felix has been dropped from the team due to his struggles at club level. The shot-stopper has lost his number one position to Kwame Baah.

Since matchday 4, Annan has not been in post for the Porcupine Warriors with head coach Maxwell Konadu preferring Baah, who started the season as second-choice.

Konadu has for several times swerved the chance to explain his decision.

Following the squad announcement, Felix Annan took to Twitter to write "Thank You."

It's unclear who the message is for.

Annan was apart of Ghana's squad at 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt.
