Nigerian midfielder Fernando Wisdom Bassey has finally received clearance to play in the Ghana Premier League after securing his work permit.
Bassey, who joined the Porcupine Warriors as a free agent, impressed during pre-season games but was sidelined for Kotoko’s opening match against Karela United, which Kotoko won 1-0.
The 22-year-old’s debut was delayed due to the work permit issue, but with the necessary documentation now in place, he’s set to be available for selection in Kotoko’s upcoming fixtures.
However, Bassey’s debut might still be on hold for a bit longer as Kotoko's next game against Nsoatreman has been postponed.
This decision was made to give Nsoatreman time to prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup clash against CS Constantine of Algeria.
