Asante Kotoko have announced that they have mutually parted ways with attacker Francis Andy Kumi.

Kumi was brought to the club in 2021 with high hopes of becoming a regular and endearing himself to the fans.

He was, however, unable to achieve any. Kumi was demoted to squad player due to injuries and played few minutes last season in which Kotoko were crowned champions.

"Agreement has been reached with Francis Andy Kumi to end his stay with us by mutual consent," Kotoko announced.

"The club and the entire Porcupine family wishes Andy the very best for his future."

According to reports, Kumi is set to join MTN FA Cup finalist Bechem United on a free transfer.

Andy Kumi was included in the Black Stars provisional man squad for 2021 AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome but was subsequently dropped from the final list.
