Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are expected to augment their squad ahead of the 2024/25 season.

The Porcupine Warriors has endured a tough season, winning eleven, losing eleven and drawing seven after 29 matches into the Ghana Premier League campaign so far this season.

With 40 points, the record league holders find themselves in 10th position on the standings in the soon-to-end season.

Having endured a torrid campaign, the leadership of Asante Kotoko have set their sights on augmenting their squad with quality players that can compete next season.

According to Kumasi-based Kessben FM, the Porcupine Warriors are close to securing the services of two top players from Sudan.

Kwesi Appiah, a member of the Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee, who doubles as the head coach of the Sudan national team is said to have played a huge role in convincing the players to join Kotoko for the upcoming season.

Meanwhile, the Porcupine Warriors are aiming to finish the Ghana Premier League campaign on a high note, having found their rhythm following their visit to Manhyia.

Kotoko have secured four points in their last two games, a notable contrast to the single point obtained in the previous seven matches.

They secured a 1-0 victory against Samartex in Kumasi before earning a point in Tarkwa against Medeama.
