Striker Edward Affum was declared a free agent by the Ghana FA's Player Status Committee on Friday, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 22-year-old has had his contract with giants Asante Kotoko terminated on mutual grounds but then there was an issue of some monies owed him by the club.

Kotoko's debt to Affum according reliable sources was traded in for a piece of documentation which immensely aided the player in securing the floating status by special dispensation.

Affum thus ends his torrid three-year stay with the Kumasi-based club where his first team opportunities were very limited since making mega money move fromTema Youth.
