Ghana FA Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong has received the 2019 Gold Star Order for Leadership Achievement by the UN Blueprint Mission.
The AshantiGold CEO received the Kofi Annan medal at a ceremony in Kumasi last December.
H.E. Dr Kwame O Fordjour, Global Chiar Under UN SG, was in Ghana to do the presentation.
The citation read: ''From the indispensable common house of the entire human family, awarding global excellence based on immense contributions and achievements to global prosperity and peace in accordance with the Millennium Declaration, Reaffirmation and the GA Resolution 701 Acts of the United Nations global agenda in national constitutions for replicable practices, the Year 2019 Special Blueprint Honour is recognised under the categories of development , global cooperation and diplomacy between nations, Mr Frederick Acheampong is hereby awarded the Honorary Lifetime Achievement of the Kofi Annan medal, Blueprint Honor of Leadership Excellence. ''
Acheampong has also been working a General Coordinator for CAF in continental and international matches.
