Ghana Premier League giants AshantiGold have appointed former player Thomas Duah as assistant coach, GHANASoccernet.com understands.

He will deputize for Italian Roberto Landi, who has been appointed substantive coach to replace Turkish trainer Kasim Gokyildiz.

Duah, who holds CAF License A, replaces Yakubu Sheriff Mambo who has been re-assigned as a scout after their humiliating 6-1 defeat to WAFA in Sogakope on Sunday.

The ex-Ghana international, coached Division One League side King Solomon FC and worked at Heart of Lions.

He was assistant coach to Hans Van der Pluijm and Bashir Hayford.
