AshantiGold midfielder Appiah McCarthy is expected to resume full-scale training by 15 January, 2020.

He is yet to fully recover from a knee injury sustained during the Normalisation Committee Special Competition.

McCarthy aggravated the injury during the 2019 WAFU Cup of Nations in Senegal.

Upon his return, he was given a six-week break to help his recovery.

He started gym work last week and remains on schedule to rejoin his teammates.

McCarthy should be available for selection for the Week 5 fixture against Berekum Chelsea at the Len Clay Stadium.
