Ghana Premier League AshantiGold have expressed sadness at the death of Berekum Arsenal owner Alhaji Yakubu Moro.
The president of the Division One club was confirmed dead on Friday morning after a short illness.
"We are saddened by the demise of the founder and President of Berekum Arsenal, Alhaji Yakubu Moro. All of us at Ashantigold SC commiserates with his family, the club and the football fraternity," the club wrote on Twitter.

Under Alhaji Moro, Berekum Arsenal earned promotion to the Ghana Premier League in 2000 and stayed on until 2013 where they got relegated.
In 2006, the Berekum club qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup but were eliminated in the second round by Angolan giants Petro Atletico.
They had eliminated Congolese side Diables Noirs in the first round of the competition.
