AshantiGold will head into the new Ghana Premier League season in confident mood after winning their last pre-season friendly match.
The Miners defeated fellow top-flight club Bibiani Gold Stars 1-0 on Wednesday.
The two teams used the game to test their readiness for the season which gets underway on Friday.
Ashgold coach Ernest Thompson and Michael Osei of Gold Stars experimented by trying out new players and formations during the game.
The decisive goal was scored by Kamara Dinni. The attacker spent last season on loan at Karela United.
Ashgold play Techiman Eleven Wonders in their opening match while Gold Stars host Berekum Chelsea.
