AshantiGold SC stop-gap coach Yakubu Sheriff Mambo says he is “unhappy” following his side’s humiliating defeat to WAFA SC in the Ghana Premier League.

The Miners suffered an embarrassment as they were thumped 6-1 by the Academy boys at the Sogakope park on Sunday.

The result becomes AshantiGold's worst ever loss in the Ghana top-flight surpassing their 5-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak in 2002.

"It has already happened and there is nothing we can do about the result. I am not happy at all looking at the way we played today," he told reporters.

"We have to work it out very well and very early. There must be a total overhaul and we need to prepare ourselves for the next game,"

"We also have to psyche the players very well and see how best we can go forward."

AshantiGold dropped from the top of the log to the 4th position after the loss.

The Gold and Black outfit will be travelling to Aduana Stars in their fixture as they seek to make amends.
