AshantiGold SC Chief Executive Officer Emmanuel Frimpong has disclosed his the team is ready for Africa and will make ahead of next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
AshantiGold will represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup following the decision by the Ghana FA to truncate the 2019/20 Ghana football season due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The truncation meant AshGold as last season’s rep in the CAF Confederation Cup for Ghana will get to feature in the competition according to the rules.
Emmanuel Frimpong in an interview said the team will make new signings to beef up the squad ahead of their Africa campaign next season.
“We are 85 percent ready for Africa next season. We will be making new signings to strengthen our squad next season and hopefully we will go and make Ghana proud”, he said in an interview.
AshantiGold SC made it to the first round of the CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers and were eliminated from the competition by Moroccan side RS Berkane.
