AshantiGold SC are set to swoop for Eleven Wonders FC trainer Ignatius Osei-Fosu to take over the vacant head coach role of the club.

The Miners have identified Osei-Fosu as the ideal replacement for Italian trainer Roberto Landi who has left the club.

Landi who was appointed in February absconded last week following disagreements over unpaid entitlements.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands AshantiGold and Osei-Fosu have opened negotiations and it's going well.

Osei-Fosu is expected to guide the four-time Ghana Premier League champions in the 2020/2021 season and in the CAF Confederation Cup.

The former Liberty Professionals coach holds a CAF License 'A' certificate.

Osei-Fosu joined Eleven Wonders in Techiman at the beginning of last season and finished at the 12th position on the league standings as the season was terminated.

He played 15 matches and won 5, drew 4 and lost 6.
