AshantiGold are set to appoint veteran football administrator Kofi Manu as its Accra Representative and Special Consultant.

Newly appointed CEO Emmanuel Frimpong wants to bring on board the renowned football law expert to help the club.

''It's true we have approached Kofi Manu to be part of our team and he is always welcomed,'' Frimpong told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.

If a deal is stitched up, Manu will be making a return to the club having served as Special Asistant to former CEO Kudjoe Fianoo years ago.

Manu has recently been at loggerheads with the Kurt Okraku-led administration and his appointment could lead to more chaotic.
